Joining Kampung Gym takes just a few minutes on your phone. No contracts, no nonsense — just lift and go. Here’s the full walkthrough so you can start training today.
Before You Start
- Age: 14+ (ages 14–17 need parent/guardian consent).
- Valid Phone Number: Needed for OTP verification and account login.
- Bank Card: For monthly auto-debit (cancel anytime).
- Selfie-ready: You’ll set up your access (QR/face recognition) in-app
Step 1 — Download the Kampung Gym App
Search “Kampung Gym” on the App Store or Google Play and install. Open the app and tap Create Account.
Tip: Use your main email and WhatsApp number — You’ll need this to verify and log in to the account.
Step 2 — Create Your Account
- Enter Full Name, Email/Phone, and set a Password.
- Verify your contact (OTP).
- Agree to our Membership Terms & PDPA.
Step 3 — Choose Your Home Gym
Pick the branch you want to visit most:
- Austin (Premium) — full perks + group classes + Referral Rewards
- Toppen / Seelong / Dato’ Onn (Basic) — self-service, air-conditioned, gym-usage only
✅ Important:
- Kampung Gym Basic Plan – access is limited to your selected Home Gym only.
- Kampung Gym Premium Plan – enjoy all-branch access across Kampung Gym locations.
Step 4 — Select Your Plan
- KG Premium (Austin + Basic branches)
- KG Basic (Toppen / Seelong / Dato’ Onn)
No contract. Membership price drops the longer you stay active (loyalty tiers).
Step 5 — Verify Your Identity
Pick one method (both are fast):
- In-App eKYC: Enter the correct phone number for OTP + take a quick selfie.
- On-Site: Swing by KG Austin during staffed hours or use the self-service kiosk at Basic branches.
Verification activates your access and keeps the gym safe for everyone.
Step 6 — Add Payment (Auto-Debit)
Enter your debit or credit card to activate your membership.
Payment will be charged immediately upon sign-up, and your next billing date will fall on the same date each month.
You’ll see your billing details clearly before confirming.
Charges renew automatically every month.
Step 7 — Confirm & Activate
Review your plan, Home Gym, and billing date. Tap Make Payment Now and You’ll receive:
- Digital Member ID
- Valid Entry QR (inside the app)
Step 8 — Set Up Your Access
- QR Entry: Open the app → Tap the icon at the bottom center → Show your QR code at the gantry.
- Face Recognition: Follow the in-app face capture steps once; after that, just look at the reader to enter. Easy.
Step 9 — First Visit Checklist
- Bring a towel, sealed water bottle, and proper gym attire (no slippers/sandals).
- Arrive 10 minutes earlier to explore lockers, showers, and zones.
- At Austin: Book Group Classes inside the app (no walk-ins).
Step 10 — Manage Your Membership
Please note that all membership changes must be requested at least 7 days before the next billing date via contact@kampunggym.com.my.
- Upgrade/Downgrade: Switch between Basic ↔ Premium.
- Change Home Gym: If your routine changes.
- Cancel: Submit at least 7days before your next billing date; you’ll keep access until the end of the paid period.
