Maintenance Technician (Facilities & Equipment)

Kampung Gym is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our gyms safe, functional, and running smoothly.
You’ll handle on-site repairs — from gym equipment and lighting to plumbing and general upkeep across our branches.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily routine inspection and maintenance of gym machines (treadmills, cables, weight stacks, etc.)
• Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment faults (squeaks, loose parts, cable replacements, etc.)
• Handle basic electrical and plumbing repairs (light bulbs, water taps, switches, etc.)
• Support branch teams in maintaining clean, safe, and functional facilities
• Coordinate with external vendors for major repair or equipment servicing
• Maintain an inventory list of tools, spare parts, and consumables
• Keep a proper record of maintenance reports, spare parts, and tool usage
• 24-Hour Member Access Support: Standby to answer emergency access phone calls for members experiencing entry or door-access issues at 24-hour branches, guiding them remotely or assisting with entry.
• Night Maintenance: Perform light facility upkeep, monitoring checks, or minor repairs during quiet hours when no active emergencies occur.

Requirements

• Minimum 1–3 years experience in general maintenance, facilities, or handyman work (gym, hotel, or property background preferred)
• Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and discipline — able to manage tasks without constant supervision
• Must speak basic English and Malay.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Must possess own transport (car/motorcycle) and a valid driving license to travel between all Kampung Gym branches.
• Physically fit and comfortable handling tools or gym equipment
• Honest, punctual, and takes pride in good workmanship

Work Schedule & Shift Structure

• Rotating Shift System: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 3:00 AM) and Midnight Shift (3:00 AM – 11:00 AM) operating on a 6 Days Work, 1 Day Off rotation.
• Work location: Austin, will need to travel to other branches

Pay: RM2,200.00 – RM2,800.00 per month
